Full job description

Life Space Cabins | Devon

Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus performance related pay

Closing Date: 15 July 2026

Build Spaces With Soul

At Life Space Cabins, we design and build architecturally inspired spaces that help people work, rest, create and connect with the landscape around them.

From garden studios and glamping accommodation to bespoke cabins and hospitality projects, our work combines thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship and practical delivery.

We are looking for a Sales & Client Consultant to join our growing team and help guide clients from first enquiry through to a fully defined and agreed project, ready for delivery.

This is a newly created role with genuine opportunity to shape its future. We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, understands the importance of great design, and can combine commercial awareness with exceptional organisation and attention to detail.

The Role

This is not a traditional sales role.

You will own the client journey from initial enquiry through to project sign off, ensuring every project is clearly defined, commercially viable and ready for a smooth handover into operations.

You will be responsible for developing your own pipeline, qualifying opportunities, conducting consultations and site visits, coordinating quotations and specifications, and helping clients make informed decisions throughout the process.

Working closely with the Directors, Operations team and wider business, you will play a key role in shaping both the client experience and the future growth of Life Space.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Management

  • Own and manage your sales pipeline from enquiry through to project handover.
  • Respond to enquiries and qualify opportunities across the Life Space product range.
  • Lead initial consultations, client meetings and site visits.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of client objectives, budgets and project requirements.
  • Guide clients through the Life Space consultation and sales process.
  • Build trusted relationships with prospective clients and professional partners.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities that align with the Life Space brand, enhance our market position and support the company’s long term strategic objectives.

Project Development

  • Use Life Space sales tools, consultation processes and pricing systems to develop projects to a fully defined stage.
  • Coordinate quotations, specifications and design options.
  • Balance creative aspirations with practical and commercial considerations.
  • Manage client expectations throughout the sales process.
  • Secure formal client sign off on design, specification and pricing before project release.

Operational Handover

  • Take ownership of project sign off, ensuring designs, specifications, pricing and client expectations are clearly agreed and documented.
  • Compile comprehensive project information packs to support a smooth transition into operations.
  • Ensure all relevant commercial, technical and client information is accurately captured and communicated.
  • Work closely with operations to ensure projects are set up for successful delivery.

Business Development & Marketing

  • Take ownership of the company’s trade show and exhibition calendar.
  • Identify appropriate events and maximise opportunities for lead generation, brand awareness and strategic partnerships.
  • Support ongoing business development initiatives and referral opportunities.
  • Act as a positive ambassador for the Life Space brand.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines commercial awareness with curiosity, creativity and a genuine passion for architecture, design and well crafted spaces.

You may come from a background in property, construction, architecture, hospitality, design or consultative sales.

More important than your background is your attitude, organisation and ability to build trust with clients.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence discussing budgets and value.
  • A genuine interest in architecture, design and the built environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Experience leading meetings, consultations and site visits.
  • The ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the discipline to maintain clear records, manage your own paperwork and ensure information is communicated accurately and transparently to the wider team.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • UK Planning permission knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • A full clean driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK.

How We Work

  • Primarily office based in South Devon.
  • Regular travel for site visits, client meetings and trade shows.
  • Potential for flexibility and remote working as the role develops.
  • Close collaboration with the Directors and Operations team.

Performance & Success Measures

Success in this role is measured not only by the value of projects secured, but by the quality of project development, client experience and operational handover.

Key performance indicators include:

Sales Performance

  • Pipeline value and health.
  • Enquiry to consultation conversion.
  • Consultation to contract conversion.
  • Total value of secured projects.
  • Forecast accuracy.

Project Development

  • Quality and completeness of client briefs.
  • Accuracy of project information gathered.
  • Timely achievement of client sign offs.
  • Quality of project information packs.

Commercial Performance

  • Achievement of agreed margin targets.
  • Appropriate project qualification and opportunity management.
  • Effective management of client expectations.

Team Contribution

  • Smooth handover into operations.
  • Positive contribution to team culture.
  • Continuous improvement of sales systems and processes.
  • Collaboration across departments.

Why Life Space?

  • Because you care about what you sell.
  • Because you believe great projects begin with great conversations.
  • Because you want to work alongside talented people creating meaningful spaces with lasting value.

If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

Applications close on 15 July.
